Ministry
At Philadelphia Good News Mission Church, we have been actively engaged in various ministries since 1975 to fulfill God’s purpose in our community and beyond. Our efforts include Church Ministry, which encompasses our home church activities, Sunday services, children’s and youth ministries, men’s and women’s fellowships, and Bible studies. Alongside these, we have been dedicated to Church Planting, establishing new congregations in nearby areas. Since 2012, we have expanded our outreach through Equipping Pastors, training leaders across more than 17 districts in India to better serve their communities. Our mission efforts have a long history, supporting initiatives in the northern part of India and, since 1985, in various European countries with Apostle Pastor Rajendran. More recently, since 2012, We have started mission work in Japan.
Chruch Ministry

Since 1975, our Church Ministry has been a cornerstone of faith in the community of Pettai, embodying the spirit of Revelation 3:8, which states, “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” This scripture, originally given to the church of Philadelphia, resonates deeply with us, sharing the same name and embodying the same enduring spirit.
Throughout many challenges, struggles, and periods of pain, God’s unwavering presence has firmly established His church here. With each passing year, we’ve seen doors open that no one could shut, a testament to the strength and resilience granted to us by our faith. Our ministry continues to grow, fueled by a commitment to God’s word and a dedication to living out His name boldly and faithfully in everything we do.
Chruch Planting
I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18
Keeping in mind and prayer the needs of the surrounding areas, our commitment to Church Planting continues to grow. So far, through the dedicated efforts of the Good News Mission—an organization supported by our church—we have successfully pioneered few churches in local communities such as Bharadhiyar Nagar and Thisayanvilai. Furthermore, we are dedicated to raising pastors through our discipleship ministry, equipping them to establish new churches in nearby areas.
This ongoing expansion echoes the spirit of Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This scripture underpins our mission, as we continue to spread the word and plant seeds of faith across communities, supported by God’s enduring presence.
Equipping Pastors
How good and pleasent it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalms 133:1
Since 2012, our ministry has focused on equipping pastors in Tamil Nadu, India, adapting 17 districts to continue our mission. Recently we have also started a fellowship in Mumbai. Monthly around 400-500 pastors coming together in various places of Tamil Nadu to learn and to pray together for the revival of this country. We encourage to stand on truth, unity, strength and fellowship among pastors. Our goal is to prepare them to fulfil God’s purpose, creating a community that mirrors the unity and love of Christ. We dedicate ourselves to empowering pastors with the knowledge and wisdom to lead, praying our work enriches the kingdom and glorifies God.
Mission Work in Japan
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14
